Part-time Concierge

 

The Farmstead at Medford is accepting applications for a part-time Concierge to ensure a first-class customer service experience for residents and their guests. As our Concierge you are passionate about the importance of hospitality, safety, security, selling items from the market, fielding incoming calls, assisting the sales team, coordinating shuttle requests, activities coordination and collection of any fees, and providing a happy and positive impression to everyone that you interact with.  You will contribute as a member of the community leadership team.

Schedule, Benefits and Pay:

  • You will work the following schedule from 9:00am to 5:00pm Sunday and Monday.
  • You can enjoy a delicious free meal during your shift.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • You will assist in several different areas including interacting with Residents and Guests, answering the phone, marketing, administrative work, assisting with events, assisting the dining room during peak mealtimes, and perform assorted cleaning.
  • You will be the go-to person and provide a lasting first impression to visitors of the community while balancing and prioritizing many different roles and responsibilities.
  • You will anticipate the needs of Residents, Guests, and Team Members of the community, including outside vendor deliveries.
  • You will monitor and respond to emergencies such as the fire alarm panel.
  • You will support the Community Managers by assuming leadership responsibilities in their absence.
  • You must live by our Mission Statement: Always Be Respectful, Kind & Service Oriented

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older, maintain a current driver license and clean driving record.
  • A high School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • You are able to move tables and furniture periodically, sit for an extended period, bend, reach, and lift and carry approximately 25 pounds.
  • You take the initiative and are independent, a problem-solver, able to de-escalate critical situations.
  • You can multi-task and meet deadlines while projecting a resort-like image both in person and over the phone to residents and guests of the community.
  • Strong knowledge of the local community, area, and region preferred.
  • Previous work in customer service or hospitality.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and excel).

Pay Range $20-$21

Overnight Maintenance Tech/Concierge

The Farmstead at Medford is accepting applications for a full-time overnight Maintenance Technician that will also cover the overnight concierge desk to ensure a constant upkeep of our retirement community while enthusiastically spotting areas for improvement, The overnight maintenance technician will work closely with Community Mangers and residents.

 

Schedule, Benefits and Pay:

  • You will work the following schedule 10:30pm to 7:00am  with flexibility to respond to community maintenance emergencies as needed.
  • You can enjoy a delicious free meal during your shift.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • You will be inspired to be disciplined and take ownership of the maintenance and upkeep of the Community.
  • You will have the opportunity to bond with the Residents each day to foster a sense of trust.
  • You will respond to maintenance requests from Residents including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and various maintenance tasks.
  • You will monitor and respond to emergencies such as building life safety systems and the fire alarm panel.
  • You will be stationed at the concierge desk, and field any complaints, issues, maintenance needs during the overnight shift.
  • You will tour the building as needed to ensure that all entry doors are closed and locked after hours.

Qualifications:

  • You have a minimum of 3 years facility maintenance experience in a hotel, apartment, or senior living facility.
  • You have a current driver’s license and clean driving record: and are willing to drive the community shuttle safely as needed.
  • You have experience performing routine maintenance and building repairs with a working knowledge of custodial procedures.
  • You have basic computer skills including Email, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • You have HVAC experience (while not mandatory, this is a plus.)
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, managers, and vendors.
  • You have the ability to sit for an extended period, reach, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
